The Historic town of BRIDGWATER where the Duke of Monmouth was crowned king and trained his soldiers at castle fields just before the last pitched battle on English soil at Weston-zoyland. Bridgwater also has one of the best carnivals in europe if not the world, not forgetting Bridgwater FAIR the last week in September every year well worth a visit it's fantastic.*****
Visit STREET the home of Clarkes shoes and Clarkes village for shopping. Glastonbury the heart of Avalon, this mystical town said to hide the holy grail, the kingdom of king Arthur and Camelot visit the tower (tor) feel the ambiance of this holy place.*****
WELLS this small but beautiful city with an outstanding cathedral (keep an eye on the swans) and the clock. Also cannot be missed.*** Wookey Hole just a few miles away, the cave walk with its witch ( my mothering law) is a must. *****
CHEDDER the town with the famous caves and where the famous cheese comes from.
WESTON-SUPER-MARE, BURNHAM ON SEA, MINEHEAD all with great sandy beaches made for kids. (where's your bucket and spade?)
BATH this city is the jewel in the crown for Somerset one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
