Elderly couple evicted.
Richard and Linda Gosbee in their 60's living in Shearston near Taunton have been evicted from their bungalow that should have been knocked down 10 years ago. They had planning permission to build next to the bungalow but after the new building was finished the bungalow had the be knocked down but they sold the land. the Gosbee will have to pay £40,000 for the eviction. Lord porthleven comments, I know the have made a mistake but they have been living in the bungalow for 15 years, they both have very poor health I feel the council have been very heavy handed and could have extended the eviction for another 5 to 10 years.

19th nov 2008 The development of the firepool area of taunton has been shelved for time being due to the economic situation. It will have new homes, shops and a recreation area. The development will be started when this recession ends.
